One of the most important
processing tools of metallurgy
in cold and hot rolling are the
cylinder tools. Cylinder
consumption can be specified as
1,5-2,5 kg/tons of rolled steel.

Using the polygon profiled
torque transmitting surface
system we developed an assembled
cylinder construction. The new cylinder tool
consists of a tough body axis and
a cylindrical ring with fitting
polygon profile.

The adventage of the new cylindrical
tool and ring is that in case of the
wear of the cavities and the
generatrix it is not necessary to
discard the solid body axis only the
less weighing rings have to be
sorted out.
The axis, the biggest part of the
tool can be kept and used later on.
